These are a few of her favorite things!

It seems that Hayley has really grown up in the past few months! She thinks she is so big and no longer will hold my hand when she walks and she is developing quite the attitude. She was such a mellow baby that it is really kind of fun (sometimes:) to see her sassy side. So here are a few of her favorite things...

She loves sitting by herself on a chair...it makes her feel so big
One day I heard her whining in her room and this is what if found...She was stuck in the rocker and had to run and grab my camera

She loves the beach and loves playing in her little baby pool by the beach

Hayley LOVES her new bike seat and especially her duck helmet. She knocks on her helmet and quacks!

I bribed her after her shots with a sucker...my new bribing tool.

This is one of my favorite dresses that Aunt Val got for her

She is just hanging with the girls!!!

A visit from my Grandpa!

My Grandpa Wooley came to visit me! He is such a trooper...he is 89 and we went all over the city. It was seriously so much fun to have him. We would go out and do something during the day and then come home and play cards or dominos at night. Jon and I had so many good laughs with him and Hayley really warmed up to him. She loves her great Grandpa Wooley! My grandpa had never been to California, so it was really fun to get to show him around. I was also able to do and see a lot of things that I haven't seen yet so it was a lot of fun. He just left today and I think he was ready to get out of the hustle and bustle of it all (He's from a small town in Utah). Here are a few highlights from the trip...

The Reagan Library - (under Reagan's Air Force One Plane!)

At Zuma Beach...we watch Jon surf and Grandpa got such a kick out of it.

Two big accomplishments

Jon has been super super busy since he started his MBA program. At the last minute he decided to run the LA marathon on Memorial day. He did awesome! We tried to go meet him at the middle of the race but we kept missing him everytime...he was too fast. So we just decided to meet him at the end. He finished the race in 4 hours and 12 minutes. The poor guy was really sore after he finshed but recovered fairly quickly. Jon's second big accomplishment in one week was that he finished up teaching his seminary class...whoo hoo! He really liked teaching the class but but once school started he was so busy and tired so it is great it is finally over. We are so proud of him...here are a few pictures from the race.

Hayley turned one!...A month ago!

Ok, I am officially a SLACKER!!! Hayley turned one on March 13th! I can't believe how quick it has gone by. The best way to descibe Hayley is pure joy. My heart is so full with her in my life. She is such a sweet baby and I feel so lucky. She just puts a smile on my face and has made my first year as a mother so fulfilling. She is learning new things everyday and continually making us laugh. Hayley is not quite walking yet but she is starting to get really brave and has taken a few steps. We had two birthday parties for Hayley...one with my family down in Newport and another on her actual birthday. We went to Brent's Deli in honor of Grandma and Grandpa Farnsworth and enjoyed a ruben sandwich with the Means and the Gruppmans. Then we went back to our house for cake. Thanks to all of the friends and family who made the her (and us) feel so special!

Opening presents...

She's not sure what to think about this!

She is totally pleased with herself

Family Trip!

All of my brothers and sisters came to down to Newport beach last week and it was way too much fun! I have so many great pictures from the trip that I wish I could post them all. The trip was filled with fun and adventure but we missed mom and dad so much. We of course went to the beach and did a little bit of shopping. We also went to Sea World and Disneyland. Because the family was all together, we celebrated Hayley's first birthday a week early. Her 1st birthday was on March 13th, and I will post those pictures a little bit later. Hayley had so much fun with all of her cousins and it was so great to see all of the kids. Love you guys and miss you already! Thanks for such a great time!

A few of the lastest and greatest

I figured it was time to take off the nasty pictures of Jon and finally post something else:) We have been busy as usual...but not much has happened out of the ordinary. Here are some beach pictures from a few weeks ago:

Here is Hayley playing in the sand...she is too quick for me and the second I wasn't paying attention she put it in her mouth.

Hayley can go down the slide all by herself!

My family is coming down to Newport next week and I am soooo excited. We tried on Hayley's swimsuit last night just for fun. I think it will be a little too chili to go in the water, but its worth a shot!

The tiger crawl....(she didn't learn that one from me!)

A good laugh...

No, a GREAT laugh! I was looking through some old emails and found these pictures. It is late at night and Jon might make me take these down tomorrow, but these pictures are soooo hilarious. I hesitate to post these pictures because I know Jon looks like a total "Chester." Just after Jon and I were married, we were in St. George for Christmas with my family. Jon challenged my brother to a ping pong match. The stakes were high, but Jon was the one who set them. If Jon lost, he had to shave his head and if my brother (who is balding) lost, he had to grow a comb-over. Well as you can see, Jon lost the match. These are pictures of him while we were shaving his head (I know he looks like a creepo, but I can't help but die laughing when I see these pictures). It was scary shaving his head because we were headed to Mexico in 3 days. Although, after we got all the hair off, he looked hot with the shaved head (i included a picture from our trip so you could all see how good it turned out). I love you babe, you always make me laugh!
ps...don't hate me for posting these pictures:)
